Since founding TGLLC Research in 2024, Thomas Glaessner consults for a number of clients in the US, Asia and Latin America. Included among these clients is Gavea Investments, where Mr. Glaessner was an internal strategist and partner from 2012-2023. Mr. Glaessner also served as an Adviser to technology firms on CBDC in 2021 and 2022.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Glaessner was Managing Director and Global Policy Strategist and Global Head of EM Trading Strategy at Citi between 2005 and 2011. Prior to that, he held positions at the World Bank, Soros Fund Management and the Federal Reserve. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics and Finance at the University of Virginia and received his B.A. in Economics from Kenyon College.
