Thierry Foucault is Chaired Foundation Professor of Finance at HEC Paris and a CEPR Research Fellow. He holds a PhD in Finance from HEC Paris. His research focuses on the role of information in financial markets, the industrial organisation of these markets, and their effect on the real economy. He is co-editor of the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Finance. He serves on the scientific committees of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Norges Bank Academic Programme. He coauthored Market Liquidity: Theory, Evidence, and Policy (Oxford University Press).
