Moreno Bertoldi

Moreno Bertoldi is Senior Associate Research Fellow, Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI). Prior to this role he was Special Advisor to the Ambassador and Head of the Economic and Financial Section at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States. From 2007 to 2015, he was head of the unit responsible for countries of the G-20, International Monetary Fund, and G-Groups at the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. From 2010 to 2015 he was also the European Commission representative in the G20 Framework for Growth Working Group. Mr. Bertoldi formerly served as head of the economic and financial section at the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States (2001-2006) and head of the political and economic section at the Delegation of the European Commission to Japan (1996-2001). He holds degrees in economic analysis and economic policy from École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France, and in economics and social sciences from the "Luigi Bocconi " University in Milan, Italy.
