Martin Peitz is Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim and a director of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation - MaCCI. He has been a member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy at the European Commission (2013-2016), an Academic Director of the Centre on Regulation in Europe (2012-2016), and head of the Department of Economics (2010-2013). He is widely published in economics and law journals and co-authored the textbook Industrial Organization: Markets and Strategies (Cambridge University Press, second edition, 2015) and the monograph The Economics of Platforms: Concepts and Strategy (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
