Mariya Brussevich is a Professor of Economics at Ibmec in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She joined Ibmec in 2022 after serving as an economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Prior to that, she was a research fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Her research focuses on the areas of international economics and macroeconomic development and explores their intersections with finance and labor economics. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from Purdue University and master’s degree in policy analysis from KU Leuven.
