
Jin Cao is a senior research economist in Norges Bank, the Central Bank of Norway. His research interests include banking, financial economics, and monetary economics. His recent papers investigate the interaction between monetary policy and financial stability, especially how banks react to various factors such as monetary / market / regulatory shocks and international financial flows. He is the author of Banking Regulation and the Financial Crisis (Routledge, 2012), Money: Theory and Practice (with Gerhard Illing, Springer, 2019), and The Economics of Banking (Routledge, 2022).
