Jemima Peppel-Srebrny

Senior Economist at European Stability Mechanism

Jemima Peppel-Srebrny is a Senior Economist at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). She works on global and US macro and markets, sovereign risk and climate risk analysis. Prior to joining the ESM in 2020, she was a Junior Engagement Manager/Senior Associate at McKinsey, focussing on public- and financial-sector clients across Europe, Eastern Africa and the US. She holds a PhD (DPhil) and MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford. Her academic research focusses on the links between sovereign risk and public finance, exploring whether the drivers of government deficits and the assets side of the government balance sheet – most crucially, public investment – matter from the perspective of government bond markets.
