Elin Molin is a postdoctoral researcher at Lund University, Sweden. She is an applied microeconomist with a Ph.D. in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. Her primary research interest is household finance, but she also explores topics in financial intermediation, education, and labor economics. In particular, she examines policy-relevant questions on the determinants and consequences of financial distress, the impact of emerging financial technologies such as "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) loans and crypto assets, and the effects of educational reforms. Her research leverages administrative or proprietary data combined with quasi-experimental designs to analyze individual decision-making. Elin is affiliated with the Knut Wicksell Centre for Financial Studies (KWC), Uppsala Centre for Fiscal Studies (UCFS), and Centre for Economic Demography (CED).
