Submissions

The Department of Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), in collaboration with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), will host the CUHK-CEPR Workshop on Imperfect Expectations and Bounded Rationality on 11-12 December 2025. The workshop aims to bring together scholars working in information frictions and bounded rationality to exchange their research on the most recent advancements in the field.

We are pleased to announce that confirmed keynote speakers are:

- George-Marios Angeletos (Northwestern University)

- Pedro Bordalo (University of Oxford)

We welcome submissions of complete manuscripts working on imperfect expectations and bounded rationality. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Macro and micro implications of information frictions

- Survey and experimental evidence on expectations formation

- Bounded rationality and strategic interactions

- Behavioural biases and beliefs formation

- Decision making under uncertain or mis-specified environments

- Information frictions in financial markets

Funding

We provide funding support for local accommodation and travel expenses for all presenters.

How to Apply:

We invite authors to submit complete papers via CEPR HUB. The deadline for submission is 31 August, 2025. Selection notifications will be communicated by mid-September 2025.

Authors who already have a CEPR HUB profile can upload their submission by:
1. Going to https://hub.cepr.org/ and logging in
2. After you have logged in, go to https://hub.cepr.org/event/4729
3. Click on "Step 1: Apply"
4. Under "Apply to Attend" click "Yes"
5. Tick the boxes that apply to you
6. Tick "Would you like to submit a paper?", upload your paper and supply the requested information.
7. Click "Submit form" to make the submission.

Authors who do not have a CEPR HUB profile can upload their submission by:

2. After you have logged in, go to https://hub.cepr.org/event/4729
3. Click on "Step 1: Apply"
