I am Professor for Health Economics with a focus on Empirical Methods at the University of Hamburg. Prior to that, I held an assistant professorship in Industrial Economics and Competition Policy at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). My main research interests are empirical industrial organization, regulatory policy, and health economics. In this context, I have analyzed questions relating to the impact of consumer information on firm pricing, the welfare effects of entry and ownership regulation, and the role of income inequality in shaping product variety.
